Cooling pad?

I just wanted to add, agree with another post (can't remember the name) it does seem the 600m gets worst and worst over time.

You would think cause it is the dust, but when I checked after getting a slow game again and extremely hot bottom, there was barely dust there.

Its like I have to add more and more cooling to fight against the worsting cooling system.

I reapplied the AS5, and removed what little dust was there.

This is really pissing me off!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. since moving to my dorm I don't seem to have that problem much anymore, but I run my room really cold!

Has anyone thought that possibly it could be the video card that is overheating?

I dont own a 600m so I am unfamiliar with the internal configuration but I do own a i5150 (possibly the most widely known overheating laptop in the world). I know with my 5150 the video card sits almost directly over where the ram is located. If the 600m's ram bay is getting as hot as everyone says that it is, it is very likely that its simply heatsoaking the video card and causing it to throttle. This is especially true since the 600m is so compact and relies almost entirely on passive cooling.

Like a lot of others have suggested I thing a simple laptop cooler would work wonders for you guys. Although I have never had any overheating problems with my 5150, I noticed that the bottom does get very hot after a few hours use. I bought a cheap Lapcool 2 which it now sits on all the time while at home. With this the bottom of the laptop went from hot to the touch to what i wouldn't even characterize as warm. Although plastic casing isnt very good at conducting heat out of the laptop, you would be suprised at what just a little constant air movement across the bottom of the laptop would do. I know its not the most mobile solution but I think it would help you guys a great deal.
