not exactly what i was looking to do. i wanted to go ahead and order it the way i wanted it off the bat... theres no telling what might happen between now and when the paint becomes available. i could mess something up. not likely but things happen.

what could you possibly mess up that would negatively affect the application of paint to the exterior of your system....

if it screws up why would i want to paint it......i mean screwed up to the point its unusable. basically i just dont like having the idea of ordering a laptop then having to send it back to get it the way i want it. if i'm gonna pay that much for something i want it to come to me EXACTLY how i want it. thats alot of money to sink into something, only to have to send it back to get something else done to it.

point taken...but....if it does screw up to the point of being unusable you'll be sending the mofo back in anyway for warrantied service so just do something to your system that will make it unbootable and will look to the service techs to not be user error and you'll then have your excuse to send it back in for a good reason AND get her painted while yer at it....

If you want a painted laptop now, buy an Alienware, a Hypersonic, or a Voodoo.

Not fulfilment issues. It was more business ethics probs with the supplier and concern about warranty issues... but pctorque is working on getting it working again...

We've already got it set up to be available, we just have to get the laptops in to stock up on prepped parts to be able to kick out paint jobs. We don't want to put them on the site and people have to wait a month, so we're waiting to get the parts in stock.
