5680 won't Boot (sometimes)

My 5680 mysteriously turned off yesterday and when I tried to turn it back on, power light comes on, battery light comes on, fans run and CD drive boots, but no BIOS screen and the HD light does not come on.

I was thinking it ws probably a bad HD or my screen was toast, but when I power on/off several times, the beast comes alive. So I have no idea why it works only sometimes and all this happened out of nowhere. I really don't feel like power on and off 20 times every morning praying it will work.

word of advice: back up your data right now. I had intermittent booting problems until it finally would not boot at all. Mine, we think, were due to a failing vid card. I have no idea what is causing your problems, but check out the thread about upgrading the ram on a 5660 and you can see what I went through. http://notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=55691
