Ok, first post in these forums....here goes....
Last year I bought a zd7000 and have never looked back.

60 gig hard drive
I have not had any major issues with the computer and when I have, I had good experiences with HP support.
I use the comp for word processing, surfing, using TeamSpeak or Vent while playing Raven Shield.
The comp does get a bit hot, but I bought a lap pad which allows the computer to get air from the under side.
Now have an opportunity to upgrade to the zd 8000 for about $1000 cost to make the move.
My question to you is, Should I buy the zd 8000, or are their other laptops out there that will outperform the laptop for around the same price? The zd 8000 prices out at 2300.00 about before getting the extended warrantee which I feel is a must.
I see a lot of people talking about the Dell XPS...The first thing I see wrong with that system is that it only has a 15.4 in screen vs 17 inch. The Dell has impressive components, but I like the larger screen.
People are also fans of Alienware and Sager, which are basically the same computers inside...My problem with them is they seem to be much more expensive...
So, in conclusion, should I upgrade from my zd7000 to something else?
I really want a 256 video card, and a 7200RPM HD, which I can not upgrade in the zd7000.
Any help would be great!
