Video drivers after video bios & mobo update

for all of you who have updated both mobo and video bios, what video drivers are you using?

i can only get ati 8.04 to work properly. the omegas did not work, in fact i had a black screen after the windows status bar after reboot. i could not get the catalyst drivers to install. there are some other drivers called dna or something like that. i have not tried these.

i also tried radlinker to oc my video which resulted to artifacting after standby.

has anyone gotten any other drivers to work right and/or overclocking programs?

u say that u get some artifacting after coming back from stand by? that was happening to me, but i think that it was the drivers that i was using. I have only updated the mobo bios, but after i installed the latest omega drivers the stand by problem went away. Not sure y u wouldent be able to install any drivers other than sagers after updating the video bios...unless its an evil plot to make everyone use thier drivers...

Ok here is another suggestion for drivers, when you install one and it fails on you use driver cleaner 3.3 to remove them. I installed the omegas and then went back to the 804's and had WOW thro a bluescreen. Now after cleaning and re-installing the 804's it works with no errors.

I couldn't make the omegadrivers work too because of the black screen at startup, so I'm using the official drivers. Has anybody solved the artifacting problem after the bios upgrade? I'm still artifacting very bad

Overclocking?

Are you overclocking, everytime i overclocked my gpu i would get artifacting. right now i am having absolutely no problems. i am using the official sager ati 8.04 drivers, am not overclocking and my games are running smoother than ever. i would suggest leaving everything at default, if you noticed that the new bios update actually has the gpu underclocked a little. my guess is that is possibly what was causing some of the video issues.

btw, i have tried power strip, radlinker, and ati tools. they all gave me the same artifacting issues after standby. it may be the programs, but my guess is that it's the overclocking.

hope this helps you all, honestly tho i'm happy with default and get much more over all stability and performance.
