Ferrari 3200 Startup Problems, Help Needed

Thread Starter
Here is how it goes. I went to bed last night, laptop is working perfect.

Woke up this morning bout 2p.m., the laptop turns on with the NumLock, CapsLock and wireless buttons (LEDS) all showing on, there is nothing on the screen, just blank, the cd drive is spinning, then slows down, hardrive isnt doing anything i can see or hear. So i restart by holding down the power key.

the battery led is constantly lit even though its not plugged in to the AC.

anyone have any idea on what to do?

This problem sometimes occurs if you have a bad memory module, assuming you have stock components, remove one memory stick at a time and try starting it with just one module. Try removing the module thats easier to get to first (the 2 screws on the bottom) and if it still doesn't work, try removing the module under the keyboard, if you don't know how to access it, the instructions can be found at http://support.acerpanam.com/synapse...words=&pupv=pu
If this is indeed the problem, try reinstalling both modules as this can also occur if the memory is seated badly. Also, as a side note, always make sure the one ram module you are testing is in the slot under the keyboard. Good Luck.

Did you try to remove the battery and plug in the AC and start it up without the battery? I noticed the battery on the ferrari sometimes becomes unreliable and can cause the notebook not to start or shuts off half way and even freeze during boot up.

I just recondition the battery again once this happens.
