I placed my lappie up for sale on eBay...if anyone was curious...I will take constructive criticism if anyone wishes to give it...I remember the policy is that we cannot post links to eBay...so all I can tell you is that my name on eBay is dland55...wish me luck!

Nice looking notebook. $85 for ground shipping means you're going to make about $50 on shipping. Price seams a little high for a notebook with out-dated video card and dvd burner. I sold mine with almost same specs about 6 months ago for about $150 less than your minimum.

Beware of nuckleheads bidding you'll get a lot of offers of scammers trying to trick you into purchasing it with stolen credit cards and such. You can change your auction to require pre-approval (that's what I did), it will really restrict the bids you get, but it weeds out the scammers like weed-eater.

Good luck, hope you get a good price.

Thanks...I'll look into the pre-approval thing...as for the $85 ground shipping that's what I thought would cover the huge Alienware box and eBay fees which are about $50...If somebody was truly serious I would work something out with them...I am certainly not trying to rip anyone off!

PS: Price is not high at all when you include all of the extras I am including...IMHO.

Sorry to post to the same thread twice...but I just added a pre-approval feature...is this going to scare people away or perhaps scare the right people away? I am torn...

Up the whale's arse, Notebook Gamer!!! O...that pre-approval feature just adds more work for people and in effect, be inhibiting.

Ok guys so I took off the pre-approval feature after much debate...I never wanted to inhibit or inhabit anyone (I'll let DB handle all the lewd comments regarding inhabiting anyone!)...

PS: I also lowered the shipping cost to $50 which is more fair...don't know what I was thinking before!

Well, I'm not suggesting you put it back on, but I would think someone who could afford $2000+ for a laptop should be able to at least think themselves out of a wet paper bag, such as being able to read an auction and follow simple instructions. I think you're right, it will only scare away the wrong kind of people. I did it, I only ended up getting 3 bids on a laptop much like yours (green 16.1 inch 51m) and I barely got over my minimum price, but I got my money, the people I sold it to were intelligent and not likely to screw up something and then try to blame me. This board is frought with people who "sold" Alienwares on eBay but never got paid, kept relisting, nothing but problems with kids who wanted Alienware's but didn't really have the money or know the rules or read the auction and scammers.
