i didn't do a ton of research, but my local BB didn't have one, so i just got a standard linksys wireless router w/ speedbooster.

now, if i get a normal usb printserver and hook it up to an available network switch on my router, i will be able to print from my wireless lappy, right? i will just have to have the router and printer set up next to each other.

do i have this right??

Yes, that sounds right. OR, if you have another computer on the network that will running most or all of the time, just use that computer as a host for a network printer.

I have a Netgear FM114P, which is a wireless router with parallel port print server. Next round, I plan to get a separate router and print server, even though it will cost more.

Reasons:
1) Wireless routers are known to have relatively short lives with failure of the radio quite common.
2) Now, if I get a printer with a USB port, I can't hook it up.
3) I can't connect a second printer to the network without getting another print server anyway. In fact, there are some nice print servers for about $100 that have three ports, 1 parallel, 2 usb, for example.
4) Wireless technology changes much faster than printserver technology making it likely I will want to upgrade the router before I upgrade the print server.

My $.02

I started my network with a D-Link wireless router and added a Barricade wired with printserver. The Barricade only cost me $2.99 at Value Village, the point being with everyone going WiFi you can probably find a used Wired Print Server pretty cheap.
