My new baby - i9200

I will post photos of my new baby as time permits and I learn how to take clear photos with my new camera. This one is to show off the cherrywood cover. It looks more like wood in real life. I was having dinner with a friend and the waitress complimented me on how it looked.

(I will also try to learn how to post photos as well - that might help.)

question, does the quicksnap cover just go over the top of the laptop, or do you remove the silver top?

The computer came with the snapcover already attached, but it looks like the covers simply snapped on over the back. Nothing was removed as far as I can tell.

from what ive seen and heard it acts the same as all the other dells just goes over the top

I don't have one, but I think it just fits over the top.. If you look on the top of your LCD you'll see 2 long slots that are about 1mm deep, and then one top of the hinges there are larger square holes that you'll have to contort to look for.. For quicksnap name it would only make sense to snap on top..

There are grooves in the base silver cover for the snapcover to fit into.

I find that my quicksnap cover provides a little extra protection for my lcd when closed, kind of like a buffer. I feel safer with it on when I travel around.

yeah it just snaps on the top. I also find it good to have for a little extra protection. I got the carbon fiber one. I wanted just black but thats the closest thing and from 2 feet away looks all black anyway. I'm satisfied!!

There used to be a "black lacquer" quicksnap cover for the i9200, dunno if they still have it. Someone had ordered it with the 9200 early in november but then changed their order.

hmm. I don't think I saw that one when I ordered mine, ohwell carbon is fine. Thanks

Does this mean you can buy the quicksnaps as an aftermarket and fit it on yourself, sounds like a good idea to have one and they look pretty cool??

The quicksnaps on my 4250 replaced "default" ones that came with the notebook. I took off the ones that came with it, and replaced them with the ones I bought from Dell.

Here are all of the different colors for the quicksnap covers from Dell

I hope it helps
