4750 gaming temps

Hey guys,

I recently recieved another 4750 (Dec 23rd). I have not done any driver updates of sort. I have however, installed Mobile Meter, run 3dmark05, and played a bit of UT2004 to test out gaming temps. My question is concerning my gaming temps after playing UT2004. I have reached spikes of about 80*C. The 4750 idles at a fine temp (below 46-48*C), but upon gaming for just a few minutes I get this 78-80*C range. I feel this is quite high, and was just curous to get you opinons on the temps. I do raise the back an inch or so. And I am getting my lapcool2 in this week, so hopefully this may help. I'll likely get AS5 as well. If there are any newer version of updates that did not come pre-installed on the 4750, please direct me to the link if possible. I have had one lockup while burning DVDs. After DVD decrypter had finished and just befor eI could open DVd Shrink she locked up on me - but since this single incident it has been fine.

Thanks for any help

Shesh and I thought 75C was hot.. The owners of 4750 here use to have the temp problems before the firmware upgrade to keep the fans running i belive. I think they came in the 65C range now? Im sure one of them could tell you better then I could.
