Acer TM 4000LCI Optical drive help.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with how to go about removing and replacing the stock optical drive on my acer travelmate 4000Lci . I would really like to put a dvd-r drive i have in place of the stock combo drive but have no idea on how to go about removing the original drive. I would be really grateful if anyone could help me. Thanks i appreciate your help.

You're supposed to have a little flip on the bottom of your laptop to take your old optical drive out, just like the one that's located near your battery.

this laptop doesnt have that little locking tab to remove the drive. I checked in the manual and shows that tab but that option isnt available in the model. Their has to be another way to get the drive out.

This locking tab comes only in 4500 models ..... are u sure eXoR that you have that locking tab...in your notebook.
