Ogre / Mayaman / & others,
If you see my previous post you can tell where all this started from. Anyways, I recently ran 3dmark05 and had temps of about 89*C (scores of 1436 & 1432 with default settings). Very scary temp, but this is without AS5 and a laptop cooler (both of which are coming in this week). All I could do was raise the back an inch or so. My question is concerning any possible new fan firmware I could download, and if possible, could you direct me to the site. This is my second 4750, and she just arrived Dec 23rd, so I may of wrongfully assumed it was all updated.
Other info: My system idles at about 45*C, and burning DVDs will bring it to the 60s. Playing UT2004 will get it up around 78-80*C in a matter of minutes, however, other games such as Age of Mythology are kept lower (around mid to high 60s). Light multitasking (ie., watching DVDs and working on Excel) are no problem either, as temps are kept low and stable.
Any suggestions would be appreciated,
Adair
