Warranty questions

1.) Does the 1 year warranty cover accidental damage like the CompleteCare system from Dell? Don't want to drop one of those beasts

2.) Can you purchase a bigger warranty later? Like..can I ask my parents for a 3 year extension for christmas? Cause I will

3.) If I get an extension, does that cover accidental damage too?

No it does not. BTW, beware of Complete Care. They sell it as if they are going to replace your system in the state that you actually bought it. What they are really going to do is give you a new system with the base specifications.

It's almost never worth it. If your machine survives a year it will almost certianly survive 3 years of what the warrently covers.

re

yes... if i remember correctly you can purchase additional warrenty... say your 1st year warrenty is up well now you have X amount of days to purchase extended warrenty... i guess like a magazine subscription.. or i may be wrong (about the "X days after part") but im 99% sure i saw this in the forums

Quoted directly from PCTORQUE site:

Philips Warranty Service may be purchased as long as at least 30 days are left on the original manufacturer's warranty.

Philips? What's that about

Sager outsources its extended warranty service to Philips, a giant electronics company.

Sager provides a 1-year warranty with their machines, you can puchase a 2- or 3-year extension that will be serviced by Philips, instead of Sager.
