Some info on the D810 features

I spoke to a dell sales rep today and she told me they just received information on the new notebooks. They will be officially revealed on the 17th. Here is some of what she told me about the D810:

2 additional USB ports on the side, pci express, no D-bay port as on the D800, serial, s-video, ir, but no paraller port and no Firewire port. It will be 1 lb lighter than the d800 and have a hight of 1.6" as opposed to 1.55".

At least more USB ports!

Didn't the earlier versions of the D800 have two additional ports on the side rather than the D-bay port?

Oh, and the D810 won't have an internal mic.

First question: no, the D800 has two USB in the back and one on the side (D-bay) that's powered. Edit: Not sure about earlier versions... but not the current ones. I believe even the earlier ones had the powered USB (for a total of three ports).

No internal mic... hmm, glad I gots an M60 with a mic!
