The expected date for this option to once again be available is sometime in February at which time we will also set finalize our pricing for it. So please bear with us as we wait for the latest technology. We want our customers to have the very best and we hope the delay will not be one that is too great of an inconvenience. Thank you again for your business.
Here is Sager's official word on why they have currently discontinued selling the NVIDIA Go 6800.

Any chance we'll be seeing a 6800Go or X800 in an alviso/sonoma chipset from sager?

I don't think the clock speeds have been finalized yet.

Doh. As much as I'm happy there is a word on why we can't order the Nvidia, and excited about a new card coming out..... now I gotta wait even longer before I can order a new laptop. (

Thanks for the info! I was beginning to wonder if you guys were avoiding the question!

This is probably not just an updated PCIe card with GDDR3 memory, but also a switch to a .11u transistor with the same architechture that was mentioned by Anandtech running at 450Mhz. It would certainly run cooler, although I was expecting this much later in the year.

somethng that could be potentially interesting from this new cooler version of the 6800 go is that if you underclock the core and memory you seemingly could put it in thinner and lighter lappies.

Does the current 6800Go have a thermal probe that can be unlocked/viewed with Coolbits or NVTweak?
My sources also say the price goes up.. maybe only by $60 or so... but I've been told it's going to cost more.... just fyi.

how much better do you predict this will be compared to the older 6800 go
