HUGE problem with 8790

hm.. for starters it doenst turn on..
I was cleaning my system's heatsinks and when i tried to turn it back on it didnt respond. So i tried numerous times but now when i plug the Ac adaptor in, the light that lihgs up usually for power does not light anymore. AHH >_<; anyone know what the problem is?

How were you cleaning the system's heatsinks? If you unscrewed any of the screws that hold the heatsync to the CPU (that's any screw), then you may have seperated the CPU from the heatsync and could have fried the CPU. Or, if you have good luck, you might just have unplugged the CPU, in which case, the fix is easier.

Please let us know what you did regarding the "cleaning" activity.

I did remove the heatsink from the cpu but i dont think this will be the problem bacause if the cpu did fry due the heat problems then the computer would have turned on for a few seconds/minutes. and also the springs on the screw does not let the heatsink from easily detached from the cpu...

and whats the deal with the power light now turning on when i plug in the power supply...

Did you reconnect the fans?
