For an operating system, I can honestly recommend Ubuntu Linux (Hoary) pre-Beta Array 4. The "Warty" release 4.10 from last year had some issues with the Xserver, so I waited for "Hoary"...worth the wait! It's 64-bit and supports this notebook extremely well. You will need to get a Linux supported wireless minipci card, because Broadcom is lame on Linux support
You can find more info. about Ubuntu at distrowatch.com or ubuntulinux.org. The best thing about Ubuntu is the cost-free.
