Just to clear up a misconception, you dont have to listen to the songs in a random( shuffled) order. There is a switch on the back that lets you choose between random or in order. THough i still think the lack of a screen is a bummer.

If i saw correctly, the way it hooks to a lanyard sort of thing is quite interesting..just the other day i noticed my holland friend wearing a german mp3 player, that looks just like the shuffle(minus the white apple-crappiness), hanging on a lanyard, the headphone went up inside the fabric of the nylon and around the loop on your neck had two holes on each side with an additional 8" cord with the ear bud on it. Some people just love apple -.-
