I have taken these shots from my i9200 WXGA display (LG - T4976) and my Asus M2400 lcd display. Note that the Asus is a 2 year old notebook.... every comment is up to you

How long have you had the 9200, which country are you in??? Would you exchange it if you could.
I have looked at both the photos, keep swapping between them and they both seem to be ok, but my eyes aren't the best so may well be missing something. I have my wxga turning up today in Australia, or at least it is supposed to.
Haven't heard of many probs in Aussie with the wxga's so am hopefull. Order lists it as a Samsung W5411, have downloaded the "get-edid" file to try to check for sure if what is listed on the order is correct.

I'm from italy and I tryed to send it back to dell and have a refund but they said i'm not allowed to, since i'm a pro user and not home user
I will continue to ask for a replacement until they don't send me one.

The photos are taken with macro function of my canon powershot, you have to see them in full resolution not resized by your browser: you'll notice that the white background is uneven and kind of "dirty" on 9200 lcd, while the m2400 is much more even and regular (remember it's a 2 year old lcd).

Belive me i've tried to accustom myself to this screen but the more i use it the more my eyes go blinking. It's a pain.... hope not so for you.

I initially ordered the XGA+ screen and was disappointed with the brightness and the antiglare coating effect. Dell replaced it within a day to a UXGA (Y4014) for free but while brighter than the previous effort (which was VERY poor) the antiglare effect was still extremely irritating. So I am now in the process of returning it completely.

I am no laptop expert but myself and all my friends could easily see there was a distinct lack of greatness in the 9200s LCD. In fact my 3+ year old Sony Vaio (an old model) has a much brighter and clearer screen....I showed them side by side to the Dell tech when they were replacing my screen and he agreed immediatelly.

Have a look at this photo I took comparing my Dell 9200 (on the left) to my 3yr old pretty standard fare Sony Vaio on the right

You can easily see there is a lack of brightness on the Dell and can even see the antiglare coating.
