hey guys, i'm having a problem with my dvd-rw dl burner. I am using new version on Nero and Encore DVD. I am trying to burn an image i created with Encore into a DVD. the drive seems to burn and when i take out the dvd it looks like it has been burn into however, no computer or dvd player can read it. I used both Encore and Nero but no cigar. I am wrting to dvd-r

I have already verified that that image is good as i have already burned a succesful copy using nero and encore using my home desktop.'

I have the toshiba model.

I got an RMA already but I just wanted to see if anyone has had any problems with their DVD-RW DL. I just received this lappy on the 5th and i really do not want to send it back. I tried telling Sager to just have me send the dvd-rw but they will not allow it.

If anyone with a sager and the DVD-rw dl and encore dvd can make succesful dvd's can yo let me know (try to set the number of copies to at least 3.

Also if you have problems please post.

Thank again in advance.

Could it be the media you are using?

Which media are you using. Verbatim is supposed to work well with a number of machines; however, since I have not tried them, I can not say for sure. RITEK/RIDATA have proven to be incompatable with a large number of burners.

I have the toshiba SD-R6472, i updated the firmware to tu51 but it is still producing toasters!
I did some resaerch on the sd-r6472 and i noticed that DL was not mentioned in the specs, so i'm assuming that it doesn't support DL. I paid for the DL version and my invoice says DL. I think i'm just going to have to return my laptop and get my money back, even though its gonna hurt/ I jut received my lappy on the 5thDoes any one know if the SD-R6472 support DL?

A program called Dvdinfopro says it supports double layer. So does the european Toshiba website and Ultradrives where i bought it from, but i did not try to burn one.
