I think most people who buy Vaio's don't really know how to use the internet.

(I own one, by the way.)

The only one I've found is www.talkvaio.com. But it appears to be new and there aren't any posts in the A series section yet.

There are two general Sony/Vaio forums that get a reasonable amount of traffic:
- http://p200.ezboard.com/bunofficialsony

Post if you find any others.

If they bought a Vaio, they've already demonstrated that they can't communicate... not with everyone telling them NOT to buy one! So what do they need a forum for??? Just to bitch about their Vaio's?

Don't be offended, I own one too, and I'm NOT too happy about it.

Sorry to hear that. My experience is the opposite of yours: I just bought a Vaio A270 several days ago after a massive amount of research and trying (and returning) two different Dell i9200 configurations. This particular Vaio is a superbly designed and constructed system. In particular the 17" Xbrite display makes the current Dells look several generations behind. For me, the 15% price premium over the equivalent Dell system is worth it because I need the higher quality display for work.

I posted my purchasing experience in the Dell forum to help others out who may be in the same situation (http://notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=58811). As you pointed out these forums can be a great source of information. With that said, you have to be careful to not put too much stock in the various 'system sux' or 'system is gr8t' posts. Laptop evaluations are highly subjective. Unless people post specific data points to support their opinion it's hard to get an accurate picture.
