Problems with 3790 running ATI 4.12 and BFV

Installed the ATI 4.12s using the modding tool, but still get the flashing black screen when I start to load BFV. Anyone got a fix for this?

ATI 5.1s are out. Use the Mod Tool and try those...

Battlefield 1942 DC Final - driver test

Hello Piazza,
don't give up hope. its been good gaming on my 3790v with ATI 6.14 drivers. But I have not used the Mod Tool. I don't exactly know how it happened. I did try DNA drivers before, but it was a bad install on my part. So I think I let windows xp pro pick the drivers and that's where I have been since the "unable to boot problem" so many have posted about. What refresh frequency are you using and what resolution do you have windows set to before starting Battlefield Vietnam?

I am going to switch drivers, and see if my results shed some light on the subject. Plus I am interested in seeing if I can get more performance out of this Sager.

Good luck in the mean time, I'll edit this post with new info...

i'm running the omega drivers now the driver file has 2597beta in the name. These work great. I do notice that bf1942 DC final changes the resolution before play starts.

similar problem

I'm having a similar issue with Doom 3. The only drivers i can get it to work with is the sager 8.04's. Everything else it does the flashing resolution change thingie and then tells me it was unable to find a suitable resolution or some bull.

anyways, wow i don't think i've even posted since i got my 3790. It's holding up pretty well in iraq and keeping me will entertained.
