Welcome to the club. I just got mine at Christmas as well. I like mine SO much more than anything else out there. These machines are the best kept secret there is in the laptop world. This is not a good thing! We need to spread the word...

Here goes...

Okay, i got my lappy!
Now, i had absolutely NO dead pixels!
Installing win2k advanced server was a breeze. (also installed win xp pro, with absolutely no problems either. Although i prefer win2k) I had no gliches at all. As far as the drivers which came with the cd for windvd, vid drivers etc. were concerned for installation, i had absolutely no problem. The manual was straight forward and was very easy to follow.
Waching DVDs, in my opinion was really cool, as the screen was very clear. I installed neverwinter nights, and looks beautiful. I am attentively waiting for doom3 to see if it truly does bring systems to its knees...
The screen is large and crisp...its also bright, i had to turn the brightness down. Definitely NOT a complaint though! I think it may rival some crt monitors. Things are very small on the screen though, so youd have to modify the size of your fonts and icons...which i need to do myself...
The keyboard does get a little warm after extended use (i was on the sucker for about 5-6 hrs straight, not on the battery, plugged in-havent tested the battery life yet).
Typing and the touch pad take some getting used to. Ill die by my ergo-desktop keboard, and thats not a bad thing, but youll still have to adjust. The touchpad is efficient, but i prefer my optical mouse. Havent used the burner yet though.

I do like the cd player in the fact that you can play cds without opening up/turning on your lappy. I thought that was really sweet!

I am planning on either mandrake 9 or SUSE 7 or and freebsd 4.5. (quite a contrast in OSes eh?) in a dual boot using lilo, which i feel is a lot easier and straight forward then using partition magic...but thats not for all though. If/when i get around to it, ill post how that process went.

All in all, i am very very pleased with my system, the software and just about everything else as i am still trekking through different programs and situations with the system. Its the best purchase ive made and it kicks ALOT of desktops out there!Well, im as excited as beebster and everyone else whose been graced by the presence of a Sager...imma get me a t-shirt made and advertise...hehehe (hint, hint PCTorque)

Oh yeah,
