How to burn the hard drive feature tool

Hey how did you guys burn the hard drive feature tool for Hitachi hard drives, it is a .img file and dont no how to burn it to make it a boot disk...any help?????

I use Nero. Create a bootable cd and it works No more ticking

I remember someone did make an iso file from that img file and posted it here. You then burn it on the cd and it works. However, even after adjusting the audio and power management settings my 60gh hitachi still clicked.

The ticking only seems to happen when inside the OS so I think this might help:

how did you exactly burn the .img file in nero? where is the .iso your speaking of?

Look in the links below. Under the IBM folder is the FTool.exe as well as the DFT utility. Both the USB Flash diagnostics as well as the CD bootable version contain the latest versions.

since I'm too lazy to even begin to get into it, (plus Im at work so I dont have the time) just download the ultimate boot cd http://ubcd.sourceforge.net/download.html
