Wireless stuck at 11mb/s

Thread Starter
whats up with this? I've got 100% signal strength and i've got the gigabyte router and internal card that came with the system...in theory i should get 108mb but i would settle for getting the 54mb at least.

might be that your ethernet into the router is 10mb? dont know, just a thought.

What speed is your wireless router/access point running at? Did you tell your laptop to only run at 11Mb?
your sure that your router can be faster then 11mbs?
Had the same issue. You have to enable the card and router in the set up menu for the router and the internal card to run at 108.
then again, i get your issue with 11mb, but there is no 108mb card option for the 9860 (if you dont use pcmcia) all the cards are 54mb.

Hmm, I got a internal Mini-PCI wireless card with 108MBit.
Well, I'm from germany and I ordered it there.
It can't be true that we in germany are the only with 108MBir cards.

got several resellers here giving me the same info. for the 9860 the only option is the 54mb + bt. cant tell you bout europe. but here it was true sofar, even the ones having the 108 on there website, after calling/email they said 54 + bt. don't want to rule out the 108mb completely, but it seems unlikely for the american market.

Are you certain you are connecting to your router and not to a neighbors router.
