hey guys, what dvd-rw does every one have. Brand and model number and firmware

I have

Toshiba, SD-R6472, TU51

The reason why i want to know is because i'm curious what drives that everyone got and in toshibas webpage it says that the SD-6472 is not DL compatible or at least it does not say so.

I have the same, sd-r6472 tu50
I'm about to send it in for replacement, it works but does not recognize all discs on the first try, needs to eject and reload. Service center have been out of stock for a month, gonna try the firmware update before asking for an advance exchange rma again.

The european Toshiba website says the drive writes DL, so says dvdinfopro. Maybe just an error on the american website.

Did you try a double layer disc in it?

no i haven't but i am getting an issue with the burner bruning discs but no cmoputer can read them afterwards. i can make a successful dvd burn once, but any consequent burn is a toaster. if a use nero and make more than two discs one after another the all copies will be no good. So far i have burnt 30 dvds and only two have worked! i'm also gonna try an rma and ask for the nec model. i think it is better.

Optical DriveTOSHIBA DVD-ROM SD-R6112 (DVD:2x/1x/8x, CD:16x/10x/24x DVD-RW)

I have a 4780. My drive works fine but needs older media to burn properly.
