Nvidia Drivers 7.1.40 and 7.1.50 Comment.

The 7.1.40 works but not as well as the 7.1.20. I had to use the Coolbits reg file to get the OC stuff to show up. It just does not seam as smooth as the 7.1.20 drivers. I would stay away from the leaked Leadtek 7.1.50 drivers. They appear to be made for the Leadtek card only. You can still manually install just the drivers but will need the nView Manager for a previous install.

I tried the 71.40 but have experienced no increase of frames in 3D Mark 05.

With the 71.24 whiich works great for me I had 3705.
And the 71.40 got me 3690.

My 6800 runs at 715/700 MHz

Have you tried the omega drivers? They increased my game performance on CS: source.
I tried them. But only on 3D Mark 05.
There they had a lower performance than the 71.24
But as I said, that is for 3D Mark.
I can't tell how it acts in games.

there used to be probs with the omega drivers and dvd playback and i think also the tvtuner. did they solve that in the meantime?

Is it even possible to install the leadtek ones? When I tried, it asked for 'advanced.tv_', but that file doesn't exist-- but 'advanced.tvp' does. So, I just assumed I'm not supposed to install those.

Don't install the *.tv_ ones as that goes to the TV out of the Leadtek cards. You should only just install the drivers and not try to install the nView Manager. You can install the drivers manually via Device Manager and point them to the 71.50 ones. I installed just the drivers but had done a complete uninstall so I had no nView Manager.

I got mine to run comfortably at 375/680...maybe I should try to push the memory some more.

the 71.50 drivers worked great for me. supposedly they are 71.40 drivers reworked for leadtek install. but, i too noticed a bit better perfromance of the 71.50 over the 71.40. But I reverted back to 71.21 for better image quality and smoothness.
Also, i dont get the yellow water in halflife 2 with the 71.21 driver, but with 71.40 and 71.50 i do get the yellow water color, which is unacceptible to me.

I've been using the 71.20's with pretty good results.

Tried the 67.66's and they locked up in any 3d benchmarking application, but ran EQII fine *shrugs*

I just installed 7.1.20 with the performance changes from laptopvideo2go. I went into Planetside and it royally sucked. My textures were unplayable on the high settings I normally use. I ended up rolling back the change to my original 6.7.5.0 I'm going to try the new sager drivers and see how those look.
