YAY!!!!! My EX7 is shipping soon!

That means, you guys that are waiting on your 9860 should get it very soon. My EX7 was backordered just like the 9860s and now they have it in stock and mine is in the Build/Testing phase. It is supposed to ship this week! Looks like the model is back in stock and the X800 is finally here. I was worried for a moment because at first HS told me that the X800 won't be here 'till February. Damn.....its been a month now without my laptop.....I can't wait for it to come in!

Once you get your laptop, can you hook me up with the bios from your x800? That'd be much appreciated. Thanks.

Howdy, j4ever. When you get it could you please post the idle/load temps of the X800? Also, any overclocking limits as well, for core & RAM please, & tell us how loud the GPU fan is (although it's subjective).

Not if you have a DB meter. Which most Radio Shacks carry those, and I bet either have one out or one that can be taken out and returned.

from http://notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=59418

"The ATIFLASH.EXE DOS utility can accomplish this. Just type ATIFLASH -S to save the current ATI BIOS. Look in the link below for the latest version of ATIFLASH bootable from USB Flash drive."

I couldn't find the program directly from any of the links in his sig, but I found a copy here:

Won't guarantee 100% compatibility w/newer ATI BIOS since that is a much older ATIFLASH.EXE utility. I recommend you score v3.01 here: http://images.lunarpages.com/uxga/dos/usb/atibios.exe

right on... !!! I have the software required to backup/dump the bios with all the info... Trick is you have to boot off a cd or something. I am willing to premake a CD with the files and instructions and send it.

Not sure how you would go about saving the BIOS if you boot from CD into DOS though. If you use the USB Flash drive DOS bootable utility I linked to above, saving is fairly simple. Just boot from the USB Flash drive the utility formats then select the option to save the current video bios.
