dell (service)

just thought i would post a positive comment on dells service.

i bought a dell i9200 from them on line and i received my order on jan 12 when the laptop came i loved it but was disapointed with the screen the wuxga it had a sparkle effect on it.

2 days after i recived the order i rang the cs and spoke to a indian guy who was very helpful and he gave me 2 options

1 have a new laptop sent out with a different model screen

2 give me some money back on my order.

i choose option 1 and asked for the samsug display and the cs said he would see to this.

next day the same guy rang me back he said he had sorted all out for me and my new laptop has just gone into pre-production

just recieved a phone call again fron the same dell cs and he has told me my new laptop has just shipped and will arrive in the next 2 days and he also told me it has got the samsung wxuga screen installed

so excellent service
very pleased no hassle at all

Sounds very good service-wise!

So far I'm still hoping they provide me with a similar option 1. Only problem is that it seems that there's a difference in where you live as to how they handle things. Now I'm hoping the uk in your name suggests you're living in the United Kingdom. That would be rather nice as I'm living in Holland and so far I've not heard of any European WUXGA replacements.

yes i live in the uk a place called hull and i belive the produce all the european dells in ireland so if you get the right cs person you should be ok.

i agree, the service was good for me also. And i called lke 4 timesfor technical prob and my inpatience to receive my lappy.
