On that lappy, the screen looked absolutely awful when set to anything other than its native resolution. I'm assuming that the tech has evolved since then. Anyone want to volunteer a quick summary of how the 9860 does with non-native resolutions. Thanks in advance!
well it does 1680x1050 gorgeously in halflife 2 and in non gaming apps. as far as the vga standard i only tried it in css briefly and it looked fine, i was just spoiled by the new standard so i changed it back.i played movies on it as well , and i must say it has great sound. as far as comparing it to a old notebook area wise, id have to say the closest thing i can think of right now to give you a general idea of the 9860s size would be: a cereal box to a pizza box.approximately. as far as the screen youd be surprised at how clear and well made it stands in front of you.as soon as i opened the box i knew it was unbeatable in the current market.
