i think they are wrong. check acers site.

DDR333 SDRAM? That isn't appealing at all.
As with all the different new laptops coming out, the specs cant seem to be reliable anywhere. There are so many inconsistencies.

The RAM should be 533 since DDR-2 doesnt even support 333 to my knowledge. I hope/think its a tipo on the various sites. Or maybe its not even DDR-2 which would suck.

Don't get how any reseller or for that matter comp. company start advertising a new $2K system and not do the minimal dodiligence of posting the right picture, system specs, dimensions, etc.

It has been terrible with the TM8100, supposedly you cant configure these machines acer sends them with only a couple of configs to all resellers (so far 8103 and 8104) but browsing though the different reseller you fing different screen sizes (15", 15.1", 15.3" and 15.4"), resolutions (sxga, wxga, wsxga), ram, hd, etc.

Don't really get it.

All of these sites seem wrong. Buy.com is saying WXGA, I thought it was WSXGA. lol

bro u have to give us some info / results as soon as u get it!!!

especialy the exact hardware specs. If u can unscrew the memory acces bay and give us the type of memory it uses that would be awesome.

I plan to do a full review with overclocking results when i decide on a model to buy.

Just got my 8104 WLMi.

- It's lighter than TM8003! Yes, it's DDR2 533, I checked it.
- It does have Bluetooth.
- It has two CDs to restore just OS (Win XP Pro) and multiple CDs to restore everything.
- It has Win XP Pro SP2 preinstalled.

Processor gets a bit hot (56 Celcius) fast so fan turns on periodically to lower it to under 46 Celcius). I have not tweaked power management yet, and it's in a warm room.

100GB drive is partitioned about 3GB (hidden restore partition), 45GB, 45.2GB.
I'm busy repartitioning and reinstalling from scratch, so I'm typing it from TM8003.
Only after I make TM8104 the way it should be and try more things on it, I'll write more about it.

But overall the first impression is "This thing is a beauty!"

(I ordered it on Friday with FedEx 2 business day shipping, and it was here this morning. I'm impressed.)

awesome! keeps us posted!

What do you think about the screen?

Does this use AXIOM or did they mount the card directly onto the motherboard like they did with the Aspire 1800 and the ati x600?

I guess you purchased wrong item
Anybody need an ACER Port Replicator III for an ACER 8000?

Been looking around for the new ezDock and I can't find anyone that's got it yet. Will post when I find it.

Nice!!! Given the price of the cheaper version of 1899.00 vs the more expensive version of 2200.00, it would be better to go with the more expensive version. Given the fact you get 512MB more memory, more HD, and 2.0Ghz processor for $300.00 bucks more ehehhe.

you don't get more HD space, both of them are 100GB HD, so you pay $100 extra for memory and $200 for processor. I think If I would be getting that laptop I will get lower end one and upgrade just the memory. I don't need 2.0 Ghz process, which is probably causing more heat then 1.8Ggz one.

Just curious, which one of those vendors (CDW, BUY, PCMALL, etc) ship from outside California so I don't have to pay tax on them?

Gotta give away my TM8003 to my sister ;^)
from here

Awesome to have an actual owner of this bad boy. Congrats. Hope to hear all about it. The screen is actually wsxga right?
