yep that is true

really the x600 doesn't have much performance it's another 9600

the ALL in wonder x600 is really just a pci-e version of the 9600XT all in wonder same clock speed, same cooler etc

nothing special

actually i'm pretty sure that the mrx600 is equivalent to the mr9700 and that the mrx700 was the mobile version of the desktop x700. if this is true then the mrx600 will outperform the mr9600 and the mrx700 will outperform all of these. i say this because low-k .13 process (which enables the higher clock speeds) exists on the mr9700 and not the mr9600 and is virtually the only difference amongst them. the mrx600 has this too therefore it's presumably a pci-e version of the mr9700.

yeh, would have been sweet if acer had done the x700 across the discrete graphics line like they did the 9700 :\
post #25 of 1678
The 8100 version is the X700 video
so the x700 is better than the 9700?
what are the details on the x700 ?
anyone?

Did anyone check out the Virtual Tour? What's up with the VGA, S-Video, AND DVI ports?!?! Sound a little overboard? Also, it still has a PC Card Type II slot (didn't see an Express Card slot at all)

Also, does anyone know what ports are going to be included in the PCI Express EZ Dock?

it's not only that, but the laptop pictured is old design one and the screen is SXGA+, should be WSXGA+

even on official website they messed up the specs for the screen and picturing old design:
http://www.acer.com.sg/products/trav...elmate8100.asp

15.4” WSXGA+ TFT LCD,1400 x 1050,

when it should be WSXGA+ 1680 x 1050
