Gonna do it tonight. I was not planning on it but now will do it just to see if there is any "interference". My external LCD is 1280x1024 though. Worked beautiful with DVI output of TM8003.
BTW, the Options tab of Advanced settings for ATI card has two extra options:Reduce DVI frequency on high-resolution displays
andAlternate DVI operational mode
Have you tried to play with those? I have both checked.
Also, unless you turn off builtin LCD, the external one would be exact copy of it. If you choose Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor
in Display settings then you can have internal and external LCDs have different resolution too. And in that case total sum of resolutions would be limited by video card (either VRAM or some other physical limitations).
