Just got this from my reseller....
|In an effort to provide the latest in technology, Sager and ProStar halted their last shipment of units which would have had the NVIDIA 6800 Go video card, with the expectation that the units with the ATI X800 would soon follow in their place.* However, because of extreme world-wide demand, the manufacturer in Taiwan has been much slower to produce the necessary quantities on order than was originally expected.* So, while we expected the shipment to come in last week when we were told it was "delayed", we assumed it would be coming in this week.* Unfortunately, we're being told again it's "delayed", without any further explanation.* We're confident they will be coming in very soon, but we now hesitate to provide a guess, because we do not like to mislead our customers.* We know you probably feel that you've already been mislead, more than once... so we just want you to know that we're just as anxious to get them shipped out as you are.
We know some people are*anxious or have other circumstances which require they have a laptop of some kind right away.* So, if that's your situation, we will certainly understand if you want to cancel your order with us and order another laptop elsewhere perhaps.* However, please know that if you are frustrated with us and cancel your order only to place it elsewhere in an effort to receive your order sooner, it simply won't happen.* Your order is already in queue, secured by a Sales Order Number at Sager*or ProStar.* When the shipment comes in, all orders will be fulfilled by sales order number; the lower the number, the sooner it will ship.* If you were to cancel your existing sales order, and place the order with another reseller, it will be assigned a brand new sales order number, far higher than the one you currently have, thus will ship after everyone else who's already in queue.
So, we ask for your continued patience, please!* This backorder has been going for a while now... and has earned a "record" status; we've never had a model out of stock this long.* We know you're anxious for your new laptop to arrive.. it's the highest performance notebook on the market, and in my opinion, well worth the wait!*
We will do everything we can to keep you updated as to the status, but if you want you can email me to check periodically as well.* Please keep phone calls checking status to a minimum.* Your continued patience is much appreciated and will be noted on your account, if you should need any accessories for your laptop in the future we will do our best to offer you the lowest price on an accessory in exchange for your continued patience.
God and I NEED this by the 31st...I mean I'm going to pick the f*cker up in the U.S. The trip is somewhat pointless if I don't end up bringing it back with me.
