So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.
As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...
I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...

Well, so far my experience with AW has been a solid 10, but I'll have to wait until tomorrow (Saturday) to give you a good rating on the laptop itself.
So far a perfect 10.. However the test will be tonight. I will be going to a lan party and we usually play minimum of 6-8 hours straight so I will get to find out pretty quick about the heat issues.. I'll update tomorrow.
i would give mine an 8.5 if it weren't for the sound hanging when i'm listening to music i would give it a 10. however, the sound issue is really annoying and becomming more common. aside from that, i love this laptop. it's sturdy, well built and actually not as heavy as i thought it would be.
I'd give mine a 9. Great experience all around. I am a little dissapointed on the finish where I rest my hand to type I scratched the rest a little with my watch. It gets hot there also. I had to reinstall a few drivers that were factory installed, especially the touch pad. Very minor stuff and I received mine 3 weeks early to boot. I am mostly taking the point off for the lack of the TV tuner.
I am also a little dissapointed hearing that the USB floppy is offered for free now.
I work in a office where half of the people bring their own laptops in to work and my laptop is approx 3 weeks old and the same people gawk at it everyday. A lot of people I work with got new laptops around Christmas and mine is the one everyone drools over. I did not get it for that purpose but it was a side effect. The perfomance is great and that is the main reason I went with Alienware.

dmode11: i just got off the phone with alienware tech as i am having issues with the recovery cd, but i do have some good news. the tech was saying that the usb floppy drive is now offered for free to those of us with the 7700. i think that it probably has something to do with needing the floppy for the sata drives. all you have to do is call tech support and ask them to send you one. they actually offered it to me and told me to hang on a week for it to arrive before i start messing up my system.
Well the results from the lan party are in.. This beastie passed with flying colors.. 8 straight hours of fraggin and this thing didnt heat up anymore than any other laptop I've ever had. No problems at all much less heat issue problems. My new 7700 was the life of the lan party. I then went online today for some WOW and played another 6 hours.. again no heat issues. I'm still looking into the possibility of a laptop cooler pad but I'm in no hurry.

Rating: Still a perfect 10.. maybe 11.
Read my thread on cooling Mod for the 7700. you shouldnt need any extra cooling after that. the heat sink and fans for the cpu are top notch and only need a slight mod to help keep these babys cool.
