As for the Apple Powerbook, gaming is limited. If you are interested in graphic design and video editing, choose the Mac, but I would wait until next week. Rumors are circulating that the Powerbook line will be refreshed plus the 17" has been marked as EOL.

UHHHHHHHHH no offense or anything but Gaming on a mac is pretty nice and if you're referring to the fact that there are no popular games for a mac Quake I, II, III, unreal tournament 2003, and many others are avail for the mac as well as most popular mods so the idea of gaming being difficult for mac users is becoming a thing of the past.

Don't get me wrong i like macs but i would never own one, usally it's the type of person who owns a mac that i can't F***ING stand... blah blah blah macs are the best blah blah blah if there so good why dont they come with a mouse with more than one damn button? -Jinx

I have a small problem and a I am seeking your help! I am torn between these 4 laptops:

1. IBM T40 - PM1.6, 1024DDR RAM, 14.1 SXGA, ATI 9000 Fire GL DDR 64, 60 Gig HD (5400), DVD/CDRW, Wireless

2. Sager 8890 - P4 3.2w/HT, 1024DDR RAM, 16 SXGA+, ATI 9600 128, 60 Gig HD (7200), 2x DVD-R/CDRW, Raid 0, Wireless
I use both of the above at work.

The IBM T40 has no scroll button for the mouse. Otherwise its a very solid laptop.

There is a problem with the integrated miniPCI interface -- my friend put in a saneo card into it and it would not boot giving the error "unauthorized card".

If you like big laptops, definitly get the Sager 8890. I've had a 8886 for almost 9 months
and I love it.

Sager is actually a name brand also.. I was surprised after buying mine to meet a few people who have bought from them before.

However, if you like small laptops I would definitly recommend the IBM except for if you absolutely need a scoll button ( like I do)

On a sidenote, Sager doesn't have a "same day we'll fix anything policy" like IBM does ..

you sure theres no scroll on your t40? my x24 has a scroll button and it dosent even have a trackpad ;-) hold down the middle of 3 mouse buttons and move the trackpoint down, wha la instant scroll.
