as you know, there are known knowns.There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say,we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns - the ones we don't know we don't know.

How can there be unknown unknowns - you just told us there were unknown unknowns, so (k)now they are known unknowns, like the unknowns before them.

you ask someone the question:
what is happening?

he/she responds: I don't know

you: You don't know what is happening. That is exactly what is happening. What is happening is that you don't know what is happening.

he/she: you know what is happening but you don't know that you don't know. what you know is that you think you know but you don't really know either because i know i don't know.

you: I know that i know because i can tell that you don't. what you know is that you think i don't know but i do. you still don't know but i do.

he/she: if you know that i don't and you do, then what makes you think you know about you knowing if your knowlage is based on mine not knowing?

you: i know i know because i know you don't know you that don't know. to know that i use the Stravinsky algorithm.

he/she: I know the Stravinsky algorithm. But you didn't know. i win

Donald Dumsfeld should take a writing clearly class. Either way I cracked the code.

Yes, there are things that we understand and are aware of.

"We also know there are known unknowns."

Yes, there are things/concepts/animals/ideas on this earth and universe that we don't yet understand or even begun to realize its existence.

But there are also unknown unknowns - the ones we don't know we don't know.

This is where his equation fails. If we understand there are things(such as concepts, animals, inventions, dieties) that exist, WILL exist or HAVE existed. then all unknowns are known to be in existence SOMEWHERE in time.

Who elected Donald Rumsfeld the President of SUCK? I voted Lewinsky.

I don't know if anyone ever figured this out, but...

Ratha = Laura's sister
Laura = Adam's wife

ratha.net says that she does webmastering for her brother-in-law

and in this post, Adam says that the silver 300zx belongs to his wife


just thought I'd come back from the dead for that one... I don't know if anyone was confused


edit : btw, I'm only assuming I got all that stuff right
edit2 : dang, ratha.net seems to be a functioning site no longer, so i guess you'll have to take my word for that part
