thanks for sharing

Has anybody else had bad experiences with these drivers? I tried them a few times awhile back, but it kept dropping connections on me. went back to latest 8x drivers and all is well again.

these have been out for a while. I've been using them for about two weeks now. They work much better than v8 and v7.

One question - does Intel BG 2200 support 802.11i and WAP?

I had horrible luck w/ version 9. The software actually crashed after it extracted the files. Also, I dropped A LOT of packets with version 9 installed. I rolled everything back to the original version (8) that came with my notebook and it works great again.

Version 9 works much better than 8 in my experience.

I was constantly dropping connections with v8. v9 is smooth sailing for me.

getting much quicker connections with version 9

i installed the version 8 drivers that came with my laptop asus m6bne and everything was fine
few bugs here and there, (couldn't delete an invisible profile)
so i looked for new drivers
found the version 9 was lastest release so i installed them
now i've lost the ability to use the wireless button on my laptop to turn it on and off
but i can turn it on and off using the application

so difference for me is that version 9 software gives me more detail over all the wireless networks and access points
bottom line: i like it better than version 8, but i want my wireless button switch back

stupid intel sebring api not being able to load....

i have been using 9 for a couple weeks.. version that came with sony caused a BS when using visual route. That said, I have more connection problems with the ones you linked to then the original drivers provided by sony. Although the issues seem to be sorted.. i am sure they also have to do with power management.. which can be disabled as there is an external switch. Their network finder sucks, i'll stick with windows' built in network magmt tool

Am I the only person who gets an error during extraction of the files? After failing, the folders are created, but there are no files. I can run the executable again and it works the second time.

I'd say that my notebook just didn't like the software, except the same thing happens on my desktop as well.

THe asus M6 button doesn't work now. Only turns it on, not off

disabled my wireless and it worked...

as far as intel proset it seems it's way better version fast connection and nice GUI but same thing happened on my M6N, the blue light no longer on

I'm with you, djdk. version 9 sucked for me.
sorry forgot to mention that i am also using an asus m6bne laptop
the wireless button doesn't work
but you can use the gui to turn it off and on
i miss the blue light

asus needs to update their drivers along with intel's proset 9
or update their hotkeys drivers to work with the new proset drivers
so until then i'm gonna live with the better gui and the new driver versions

After very limited testing, everything still seems to work fine on my CL56.

The physical on/off switch works
The LED works
Wireless networks are recognized

i'll wait for ibm acces connections to be updated. ibm's utilties are actually uqite nifty

With all of the reports of things no longer working, I guess Intel wasn't kidding that they recommend obataining the software from the notebook vendors.

I think I'll just stick with the drivers that my notebook came with...they work well.
