No, im sorry i was not very specific. From what I hear the NS bioses have to work with NS motherboards and the other bioses have to work with the non NS motherboards. I have not been able to confirm what has changed if anything.
The problem I am having is a safey thing, it seems as if the bios is shutting off the computer as soon as it senses a reprogram. Is there a feature under winphlash I am not aware of?
0f02 is the eMachines BIOS, not the Gateway BIOS....
The machines are effectively the same and the BIOSes are interchangeable. There has not been a Gateway BIOS with the DEP problem. The only BIOS on this series of machines (m68xx/74xx) that has ever had the issue is the 0f02.p00. All others work fine with DEP.
Ok, can someone send me a fresh copy of the NS.00.02 from thier laptop rather than from the rmecc website. It just will not work. I am familiar with winphlash as I have tried a lot of bioes on my emachines. But for some reason it just will not work. I got it to go thru without restarting but upon restart, it did not flash, it stayed the 01 version.
