Does anybody know the websites where I could I purchase the barebones, or configured version of this lappy? I am trying to find out how much cash I can save buy buying all components separate, and am looking for just the barebones version of this notebook. Any comments would be greatly appreciated

As I posted elsewhere, buying the barebones from EKM and then all of the parts from the cheapest source I could find, it was still cheaper to go with ibuypower and cheaper still from vicious. I am typing this note from my 259IA3 purchased from vicious. Good luck.

From what I recall Snorre mentioned the 7200RPM HDD Hitachi produces less heat than others. It is more power efficient too...
