Audigy 2NS PCMCIA (You Gotta get one of these!!!)

Just got a Audigy 2NS PCMCIA for my 8887 & the sound quality is higher than the Audigy Platinum I had in my PC.

This great little soundcard is Fully up to THX & Dolby Digital standards, & has to have about the best sound for any Notebook soundcard i've ever heard.

the only down side i can find sofar is I've yet to find if there is a way to get it to work with the built in speakers, but if i do find a way i'll post an update on how.

Get yoursellf one of these, there well worth the cash for the improvement!.

How does it compare to the flawless sound of the Echo Indigo?

If it's flawless then why compare? Unless the Audigy is cheaper you wouldn't be gaining any advantage. Maybe its cheaper?

That's what I'm hoping, if it can compare, because the Indigo retails for 129 for the base model.

Don't have an Indigo to Compare with, But the Audigy PCMCIA Is a MAJOR step up from the POS AC97 that came built in my 8887.

Still haven't figured out a way to use the Integrated speakers with it yet though....

These cards do not compare. They are for different purposes. Indigo is for sound recording and production. Audigy is for for games/multimedia and DVD watching.

You can still compare sound quality, and as far as sound quality goes the audigy has nothing on the ehco indigo.

But then you could also compare gaming features and say that the echo indigo has nothing on the audigy on this, as it doesnt support eax (any vers) however it does support directsound [hardware] so a slight step up from onboard sound for gaming also.
