heres a update tech left and i talked to him about gpu mod pretty cool dude came here a few times before gave him some food and a drink and he replaced the sink with another one, but he also added a bunch of as5 on the cpu i did this but with out the dell pad he kept it on
my temps are like this and this is 10 mins after playin cs

as u notice my cpu dropped from orignal idle of 70ish to 42 which surprised the ish out of me, while gaming i didnt have time to stress for long 1 hr only but as u note the temps dropped way quickly

^how'd you get them to send a tech out to your pad?

im a biz customer (IT) to them so they just listen but this guy wanted to c if the sensors were bad but they werent, so he put me on hold and had it out the next day afternoon
just tell them ur having high idle temps and the heatsink is probably bad and they will but they will ask to run the mute pwer button test which does a onbaord diagnostic

Interesting. I've played CS:Source several times on my 8600 and never had any slowdown at all. Same with HL2.

I'm going to try CS: Source now on my 8600.

I had the exact same problem in UT2004. A slight pause and then kickstart back.

i think it was the case of a few bad heatsinks if u call dell and tell them that they will send u out a new one, if u have that slow down that what as my prob at least and cing so many other threads like this one i would geuss them too of course i dont have a ati 9600 i have a 5650 so if it was gpu related that would be diff
