Just grabbed the latest BIOS from Dell's site for my 9800 Mobility and was surprise to see that WinFlash recognized the card as an R420 (X800) device. Whack - not too sure if it's of any use to you, but while flashing it also gives the DeviceID's for the chip and a whole whack of other info. Might be of some help when you get your hands on the X800 BIOS to help decipher things.
