Nice review. But where can you even buy the ASUS A4S00K?
hmm the ferrari did pretty bad in the test even though the asus had the same configuration

you can see that i think acer did a bad job by using the via motherboard, as they do have some bad performance sometimes compared to the nforce boards!!

the ferrari
wasn't a ferarri in this race

The Ferrari won 2 of the three battery rundown tests. It lost ont he DVD viewing. I guess the slot loading drive eats more juice too.
it lost in a lot more tests

3dmark
etc

both notebooks are crap if you ask me

ferrari with the ensemble type red coloured notebook
and the asus with an exceptionally fat and heavy notebook
post #7 of 13
The problem is that there aren't manny AMD64 notebooks to pick and choose from out there.
compaq makes some
but they loook cheap and heavy as well
Bah. What a rip off.

We've got a head-to-head competition between these two notebooks. LEt's put them through the paces and see who wins!!!

So, who wins? Well, they're both great notebooks, they BOTH win!

Friggin shenanigans. I feel cheated. I want that 12 minutes of my life back that I spent reading that POS article.

I couldn't disagree with you more. The Acer Ferrari 3200 is a really awesome laptop in my humble opinion, with stunning performance, quality and features

The ferrari is one awesome machine. If it came standard with 1 512 stick and a 5400 RPM drive it would be a better deal. also if the price was about $200 less i would buy, otherwise too much $$$

Damn, why can't they make a delorean model made with a stainless steel case??

I would still go with the Acer Ferrari b'cuz

1) The style is so much nicer
2) It is ligher
3) It is thinner

I would choose the ASUS because,
1) Widescreen (the weight discrepancy... )
2) Its faster, even with less dedicated Vram
3) It costs about 400-500$ less.
