Well I waited and waited and waited and waited..... Some nice Sonoma notebooks are going to take longer to come out than I thought, and more $$$ than I though. So I finally decided just to buy my notebook now. I have been researching and researching and I have come to my decision between 2 notebooks, The Sager 3760 and Dell Inspiron 8600. I will be Using the notebook as a college student and playing some games (WoW, HL2) and watching dvds. Here is what I have gathered so far:
Sager 3790
Pros
- Better Build Quality
- More Portable
- Nicer Screen
- Stronger GPU
- Sexier
Cons
- Horrid Sound even with Headphones
- Considerably more expensive
Dell Inspiron 8600
Pros
- Much Cheaper Especially with Coupons
- Very Good Sound Quality
- Overall Good Notebook
Cons
- Squeaky/Cheap Case and Keyboard
- Somewhat Ugly
- Less Portable
- Weaker GPU
- It's Dell so customer service is terrible
Even though the 8600 has more flaws I'm still leaning more towards it because of the bang for the buck, and since I'm playing games and watching movies sound quality is very important. Any advise ASAP would be gladly appreciated as I will probably be purchasing one of the 2 tonight. Thanks
