Hi all...Looking to purchase a laptop by May.. Looking to get the best value for the money and leaning toward a desktop replacement (since my desktop is almost 5 years old)...would like to spend in $1000 range but don't mind spluring for the right machine I'll be happy w/ for next 4 or 5 years plus.

What I need it for: not a gamer, just basic multimedia (music, dvd, etc), web surfing, online poker programs, word processing, etc. (my desktop for example is painly slow when trying to listening to streamin radio and doing anything else at the same time).

What I'm looking for: 15.4" or larger high quality widescreen, dvd burner, 60+gb hard drive, wireless, 512mb+ ram, don't necessarily need the thing to be super portable but would be a plus

Found this Sony Vaio @ circuit city (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony-...oductDetail.do) and it seems like a highly optioned, light weight machine for a decent price. Is this a deal I should jump on or should I wait a couple more months for a better deal? Any other suggested machines?

Thanks.
