Yes for 55.00 you get the mini pci card, remote and software to install.

Will it actually work in the 7700 and how much do you have to disassemble? I haven't gotten my 7700 yet so i dont know all the detaisl of the machine.

Ive looked into the instalation, to install this You have to remove the keyboard, remove the metal shield, Insert the card. connect the cables and install the software, I found on the 7700 the wires are all neatley placed for connection. I will be writing a review on the process soon.

MiniPCI TVTuner and Network card at the same time?

My Lappy is on its way, but I do have a question about the MiniPCI. I ordered mine with the 802.11a/b/g MiniPCI card and got an extra PCMCIA Bluetooth card alonbg with it. Should I kill those two items and just order the 802.11g w/ bluetooth card? (I know...wrong thread, but keep reading I asked on purpose)

Also, does the TV tuner and wireless MiniPCI cards both fit in the case at the same time? Would rather not have stuff sticking out the side of the case in the PCMCIA slot. My Gateway Solo 9300 has been pretty faithful with the wireless card sticking out, but I've busted two of them during nose dives off the seat in the car when I stopped fast. But its been 6 years and only two casualties. (besides, it was time to upgrade anyways *grin*)

Would like to know if anyone does know so I can call and let AW know to remove the items so I can just pick them up online for cheaper.

Thanks,
Mike Wood

yea i thought there was only 1 minipci slot inside the 7700??...is there such a thing as like a PCMIA hub incase u needed 2 connect two pcmia cards?
Looks as if their are 2 minipci slots in the 7700, otherwise Sager wouldn't be able to offer the internal wireless and a internal tv tuner.

I just got a email from powernotebooks.com they said

Sager has informed us that they had a problem from a person with a non-Sager 9860 who did not have the necessary cabling for the TV Tuner. If your 9860 was not made by Sager, please double-check your computer to make sure it has that cabling.

Sager will not install the cabling for the TV Tuner on non-Sager units. If you do not have the cabling installed by your manufacturer, this TV Tuner will not work on your computer.

so the above post answers my question this should work since the cables are there
