On the back right side there is a rca-jack and a s-video under the black rubber plug. the tv-tuner card would use the rca jack

does anyone have instructions to remove the keyboard to check and see if the wires are there for the tv tuner??

wrong how can you get a signal from a cable coax into a rca connector?? this isnt tv in we are talking about its a tuner wich means it needs the signal from your cable company then you can change channels and watch tv. if you run the video in from a rca out on a tv or vcr u wont be able to change the channels on the laptop. unless there is a adapter of some sort?

Lets wait to see if it is part of the package. if not radioshack has them not a problem.

the TV Tuner when ordered comes with the:

MiniPCI TV Tuner Card
Coax to RCA Adapter
Universal Remote w/Batteries
Software

But, and this is VERY IMPORTANT! Some 7700's are being shipped without the connector to the Video-Input Module and in that case you are screwed because AW will not supply it, nor will they install it for you until they decide if they are going to offer this device to the users. So if you have a 7700 with the connector, consider yourself lucky. AW isn't installing them for a reason (my believe is so us users can't buy else where!), unknown to me.

Hope this helped anyone in their quest for the TV-Tuner. The BlueTooth Combo card works no problem.

The statement that AW said it was OK to install the BlueTooth or whatever over the phone is incorrect. They have the right to void your warranty (even if a Rep. tells you that you can. By saying that Rep. was wrong and now you have no warranty.) if you install either of these devices. Personal recommendation would be not to tell them and if you ever have or need a repair then remove the software and hardware. Also another important note, AW has BIOS encoded the 7700 models and the TV-Tuner may not even be acknowledged by your OS.

Beware when dealing with AW, if you read the Warranty, Terms & Conditions information on the site. They have all the power, not you the user. Always have AW email any types of approvals or tech info including the information they discussed with you (in detail if possible), always get a name and extension. Over the phone is word-of-mouth and can not be held as legal proof, an email is your only true proof with AW.

Experience tells it all...

Note these upgrades may void you warranty

Yes everything was there, Plus the remote operates the DJ player on the front with the laptop off.

keyboard removed there are 4-tabs that have to be pushed in so the keyboard will lift up then the screws on the shield have to be removed to allow access to the card slots.

if you see the grey cable under the tape on the foam pad then you can install the tv-tuner you will have to remove the black foam pad to allow room for the tv-tuner card

old wifi card with bluetooth cable not connected if you see the grey cable taped you should be able to add the combo card.

new wifi/bluetooth card with software

new aver media card with software /remote and connector

new tv-tuner card with grey cable connected and wifi/bluetooth card with grey cable installed

tv-tuner on screen working
