Found tv tuner and blue tooth mini pci - Page 4

Anybody know where a brother can get one of these bluetooth + 802.11b/g miniPCI cards? I checked out the eurocom site...I might even be coerced into spending $110 for the thing, but obviously their order page is setup to price shipping for a whole system, as it told me that shipping would be another $75

Even any specific info like the make/model of such cards would be of great help. I'm looking to plink one of these into my 5500 and all the searching I've done so far seems to only pull up tech articles about the emergence of chipsets that can handle both wireless protocols but not any actual products which I can buy.

Give them an email to see what shipping is, my bluetooth mouse should be here tommorow and I will test it out

I noticed that too, shipping 75 bucks. Right. I was going order one too but not at that shipping price. I already have a bluetooth keyboard mouse combo and my phone is bluetooth too. So I need to find one quick.

I just emailed them to find out what shipping really would be, I hope its not 75.00, cause if it is. I will never do business with them EVER!

I just recieved an email from powernotebooks.com Here it is

(my email)
I see that you have Built-in 802.11g Wireless cards for the 9860 in stock now. I was wondering if this was the turbo g card or the wireless + bluetooth card.

thanks

(Their Email)
Thank you for your inquiry!

Sager just changed it to the standard 802.11g. They will no longer be carrying the Super G or the Combo with Bluetooth.

To place an order, feel free to call Toll Free 877-711-1777; if you prefer ordering online, place your order, and I will make sure to process your order as promptly as possible.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Thanks,

So if you can find the combo card you will be lucky and one of the only ones with the option
post #67 of 91
ok euro.ca wants 30 bucks for shipping. That would be 140.00 bucks for that card instead of 85. Crap what to do.

Ratballs. That seems a bit too pricey for my blood.

Anyone know why these wifi/bluetooth combo cards are so hard to find? You'd think that they'd be way more popular/prevalent...

I hope they come back because bluetooth is a nice mod to the 7700

No.

You can install cards in your system, but AW won't support hardware you buy elsewhere.

The only problem might be the tendency of support people to blame third party hardware for any weird issues.

tv tuner card from powernotebooks

I just finished installing the TV tuner card from powernotebooks.com....Install went without a hitch. I think I am # 2 with the tv upgrade! Any questions feel free to ask.
Why do the TV cards say they are for a specific PC model? Aren't they just mini-PCI cards? I want one for my Uniwill 259IA3. Good for you all that you got it working.

Sweet ass man. That is really wicked... I sure wish i could afford a 7700

Now if only I could find a reasonably priced one...

Yes you are #2 I have not read any others that have added the tv-tuner card yet, nice mod for the 7700 enjoy

I just got my 7700 today. Went to order the tv tuner and it is now not listed on powernotebooks!!!!!! That only mean they are out of stock?

Update recieved my bluetooth mouse BT500 mini works great even with wifi on
post #79 of 91
I had no problem installing the miniPCI M105/150 or whatever you want to call it tv tuner card in my 7700. The cable was present.

Just out of curiousity, this thing can accept input from that RCA input only, correct? There is no s-video or composite feed, so I imagine neither of those are valid inputs.

Works fine in windows ... now for linux. This card is going to be a bear to get working and the fact that it appears to be an OEM-channel-only card will only make it that much more difficult.

.. Here's to rewriting saa7134 ! I might have to write it in myself because it is definitely not supported.

Are these bluetooth cards you guys getting bluetooth 2.0? Way faster then the 1.0 from 750k to 3megs data transfer it went. Also how many mini pci slots does 7700 have?
