Which RAM for I8600 again?

Hey everyone,

I bought my Kingmax RAM a year ago for my I8600. Right now a friend of mine would like to buy an I8600. I recommmend not buying the expensive DELL memory but go for KingMax which is cheap and very good.

I was at Newegg.com but couldn't figure out if that is still the right memory for I8600. I forgot the specs. )

Kingmax 200 Pin 512MB DDR SO-DIMM PC-2100 - OEM

Is that the right Memory for I8600?

You should be gettin PC2700 of a well-known brand, not 2100. While laethian's memory shouldn't crash the computer, the 8600 cannot support PC3200 RAM. If it's cheaper, go that route; otherwise, go for PC2700.

Yes, I agree. Use DDR PC2700 333MHz. Have you checked www.crucial.com ? Very easy to configure on their site and life time warranty. More importantly, they guarantee compatibility.
